At RoadBuddy, we believe in the power of communication to make roads safer and more efficient for everyone. Our app is designed to help drivers and other road users communicate easily, creating a friendlier and more connected driving experience.
How often do we wish we could alert someone nearby about a flat tire, overheating brakes, or headlights that are off at night? Or warn others about hazards ahead? Hand signals only go so far. With smartphones in almost every car, we now have the opportunity to communicate clearly and directly. With RoadBuddy, users don’t need prior contact—they simply need to be near each other on the road.

How Does RoadBuddy Ensure User Privacy?
RoadBuddy prioritizes user privacy and only shares essential information, such as name and car icon, for communication purposes. User anonymity is maintained in all interactions.
Can RoadBuddy be used to report road incidents?
Yes, RoadBuddy provides a feature to report road incidents and share real-time updates with other users for enhanced road safety.
Is RoadBuddy available in multiple languages?
Currently, RoadBuddy is available in English and French, and it plans to introduce multi-language support shortly.
After downloading, start the installation process and make sure to allow all required permissions. Once installed, open the app and navigate to the Login page. Tap "Sign Up" to create your profile.
Enter your nickname, email, password, car make, car color, and select your car icon and transportation type (e.g., truck, bike, etc.). Specify the distance in kilometers—this determines how far you want to see other traffic participants.
On the main screen (map), you will see other participants represented as icons based on the specified distance. Click on the icon of the participant you want to communicate with and choose your preferred method of communication (voice or text message). Type your message or record a voice message, then click "Send" or speak it aloud. Your message will be delivered to your neighbor. All your texts will be saved in the Page Texts History for reference.
The Navigate feature allows you to get a navigation path to a neighbor's location if you need to reach their exact spot.
The Broadcast feature allows you to send an urgent message to all traffic participants within the distance radius set in your profile in case of emergencies (e.g., a traffic accident or an ambulance needing a clear lane). This feature should be used responsibly and only for genuine emergencies.
The Block Driver feature allows you to block any participant who sends abusive messages. A blocked participant will no longer see you on the map until you unblock them.

These terms and conditions (the "Terms and Conditions") govern the use of roadbuddy.net (the "Site"). This Site is owned and operated by Uformatics Inc.. This Site is a mobile application.
By using this Site, you indicate that you have read and understand these Terms and Conditions and agree to abide by them at all times.
Intellectual Property
All content published and made available on our Site is the property of Uformatics Inc. and the Site's creators. This includes, but is not limited to images, text, logos, documents, downloadable files and anything that contributes to the composition of our Site.

As a user of our Site, you agree to use our Site legally, not to use our Site for illegal purposes, and not to:

- Violate the rights of other users of our Site;
- Hack into the account of another user of the Site;

Except where prohibited by law, by using this Site you indemnify and hold harmless Uformatics Inc. and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates from any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees arising out of your use of our Site or your violation of these Terms and Conditions.
Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario.
Severability
If at any time any of the provisions set forth in these Terms and Conditions are found to be inconsistent or invalid under applicable laws, those provisions will be deemed void and will be removed from these Terms and Conditions. All other provisions will not be affected by the removal and the rest of these Terms and Conditions will still be considered valid.
Changes
These Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to the way we operate our Site and the way we expect users to behave on our Site. We will notify users by email of changes to these Terms and Conditions or post a notice on our Site.
